A dale of ghosts and stony chaos on Demerdji

A legend tells about a huge smithy inside a mountain, which was used by intervents for making weapons for an endless war.

That’s why the mountain got the name Demerdji which means Mountain Hammersmith. But Nature punished the aggressors and turned them into stony sculptures, which you can see nowadays all around the mountain in a dale of ghosts.

But the mountain is still uneasy sometimes. Earthquakes have caused terrific landslides that made a stony chaos at the feet of the mountain. Once one of the villages appeared to be under enormous boulders. That chaos reminds how fragile the world is.
